Ginseng and medicinal herbs have been in use for a very long time. A history of use, however, is not the same thing as evidence. What changes, and by how much, can only be established by measuring it in people.
That measurement is what this institute is for. We design and conduct human trials and clinical trials, analyse the resulting data statistically, and record the findings in research reports and international journal articles. We are not here to tell you that your material is good; we are here to set out, in a reproducible form, which markers changed and by how much under which conditions.
Background as a researcher
I hold a doctorate in food and nutrition from Seoul National University, and I have published three first-author papers in SCIE-indexed journals from human studies on ginseng (fermented red ginseng). They dealt respectively with free fatty acid regulation, depression measures and glucose metabolism. All three shared one feature: they examined hormonal and autonomic pathways alongside the outcome, so as to explain not only the result but the route by which it occurred.
My research career spans thirty years, working on plant-based nutrition, the physiology of fasting, and the translation of traditional East Asian practice into the measurement language of modern science. Much of that work has also been set down in book form.
What the institute holds to
Design comes first
The primary endpoint and sample size are fixed before the study starts and the statistical analysis plan is finalised in advance. We do not change the analysis after seeing the data.
No overstatement
We describe only what was observed. We make no claim of cure or treatment and avoid wording that would fall foul of health-functional-food labelling and advertising review standards.
Built to last
Results do not stop at an internal report; they are worked up to a standard that can be published in an international journal.
A consultation is possible as soon as you know the test material and the function you want to demonstrate. Please use the request form.
